While You’re Making Other Plans

The last few months have been a test. My heart has continued its road to failure but maybe I got to the right people in time and it‘ll be a while before I join the renewed molecule use following my demise.

Joy, Ken and Jay and others have been great support during the ordeal. Now we‘re back to nature together. Without Franca I couldn‘t and wouldn‘t want to go on.

Joy, Ken, Franca and I took a short trip to the South River on the 16th. Having seen that river as it clears the Consitution Lake area I was surprised at the volume of water passing Albert Shoals. The river scape is beautiful yet it has that slight smell of sewage. I think it must be difficult to rid a river of it when it flows through an urban area. Hardly spoiled the trip though, really nice hike. The pink overlay indicates the location and length of the hike. (33.630063 -84.127906)

Joy and Ken already knew Sheldon Fleming but Franca and I met him for the first time on this trip. Sheldon is the Operations Manager, Parks and Recreation for Stonecrest, Georgia. He has great ideas and plans for the development of nature based programs that use this area of the South River as a major resource. I hope Sheldon is someone we can meet and assist through the coming years.

I didn‘t have a camera or even my cell phone with me and there were some things to see for sure, but we‘ll go back loaded for… lichens, anoles and birds.
